It's Always The Small Things
The highlight of my week has been my latest gadget; my new scales that come in a tiny pocket size. Working with silver pieces this week, I had to keep it around all the time, as I was implementing a new way of pricing my work, which is immediately after I finish each piece, as opposed to bulk pricing like I am used to towards the end. This came in quite handy, since I was able to keep it around while I am making the pieces, weighing all the different components and taking notes as I go, without being hindered with a big sized one or lack of space on my counter top.
Also, I kid you not, I found great fun and joy every time I opened its tiny lid and turned it on and after turning it off and closing the lid back on. I suppose the child is me still knows how to have fun, I couldn't have asked for more, most especially when handling the least favorite side of this jewelry making business which is setting the prices for my creations.
